HARRISON COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM Marshall, Texas
A PLACE FOR HISTORY AND LEARNING
Take a field trip to our Museum where your students will discover amazing local history. Field trips are customized to supplement your classroom learning and align with TEKS by grade level. The Museum's education director plans field trips. Docents lead field trips using examples from history for critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision making. Field trips are FREE for Harrison County schools and homeschool students. Each student goes home with a free Museum admission ticket for their family.
Classroom and homeschool teachers have fun at our fast-paced workshop led by our education director. They experience a Museum field trip learning how the Museum can help educators meet the TEKS requirements. Make-and-take activities give teachers new ideas to use for pre- and post-visit activities in the classroom. Teacher workshops are free and held annually.
